Encompassing an area which straddles City of London and Tower Hamlets, the Aldgate Connect Business Improvement District (BID) aspires to shape the whole area into a thriving place to live, work, and visit.
We are a collective voice of over 370 businesses, providing a powerful voice for local businesses, enhancing the physical environment, injecting new energy into the area, and creating a safer and cleaner destination for all who live, work or visit this area.
This Incident Alert System has been designed to support members responsible for their staff and business continuity, crisis management and emergency planning.
This system can:
- Be used to communicate to you in real-time, on major incidents in the area as they unfold, such as fire, gas explosion and act of terrorism, as well as notify you in advance of planned events such as marches or protests that may affect your business and staff.
- Give you access to a hotline to dial-in for further updates on a specific incident.
- Give you access to useful resources in a document library to help you plan in advance or even refer to during a real-time incident. They can be viewed offline if mobile networks are unavailable.
